Rep Agboworin Sympathizes with Victims of Ibadan Stampede Tragedy

Lawmaker representing Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency, Rep. Abass Adigun (Agboworin), has expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the victims of the recent stampede tragedy in Ibadan.

The tragic incident, which occurred during a children’s carnival in the city, resulted in the loss of many young lives, leaving behind a trail of grief and devastation.

Agboworin, who has been a vocal advocate for the welfare and well-being of his constituents, was visibly shaken by the news of the tragedy.

In a statement signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mayowa Okekale and made available to journalists in Ibadan on Saturday, the lawmaker offered his condolences.

“I am deeply saddened by the news of the stampede tragedy in Ibadan. My heart goes out to the families of the victims, who have lost their loved ones in this tragic incident.

“I can only imagine the pain and grief they must be feeling. This is very sad and I pray that Allah will grant their parents and families the fortitude to bear the loss.

Agboworin also praised the emergency responders and medical personnel who rushed to the scene to provide assistance to the victims.

The lawmaker has also called on the relevant authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the cause of the tragedy, with a view to preventing similar incidents in the future.

The Ibadan stampede tragedy has sent shockwaves throughout the city, with many residents expressing their condolences to the families of the victims.
