Chieftain of the All Progressives’ Congress in Oyo State, Barrister Akeem Agbaje has lauded the efforts of CIVIC, EDUCATION AND CULTURAL INITIATIVE ( CIVECU) in contributing to the socio-cultural development and the preservation of culture in Ibadanland.
Barrister Agbaje who was the Special Guest of Honour and represented by Mr. Ademola Lawal made this assertion at the 9th year anniversary of the organization. The Oyo APC chieftain lauded the efforts of the Non-governmental organization at propagating cultural values of the land to the younger generation.
“I want to congratulate the chairman, Baale Bolaji Adeleke, JP, the leadership and entire members of CIVECU on the 9th anniversary of this noble organization. Indeed over the years, CIVECU has positioned itself as a proud ambassador of culture, propagating our cultural values to the younger generation. “This is indeed a laudable service and posterity will be kind to you all. As we encounter modernization, we must protect our culture and values, ensuring it is not eroded or lost.”
Barrister Agbaje also applauded the philanthropic acts of the organization as part of the highlights of the anniversary celebration was the sharing of school sandals to primary school students across Ibadan.
