Agboworin’s Gift of Hope: 55 Freezers, N2m Cash Support, Uplift People With Disabilities in Ibadan

Member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Ibadan Northeast/Southeast Constituency, Hon. Abass A. Agboworin has empowered People Living with Disabilities (PLWD) in his constituency in a groundbreaking initiative.

The event was held at the Local Government House, Secretariat, Ibadan.

While Speaking at the event, Rep Agboworin acknowledged the dignitaries present from both local governments that make up his constituency.

According to the lawmaker, “Beneficiaries of today’s empowerment and cash support programs were selected from both party members (PDP) and the general constituency.”

He added, “This is the first edition of this initiative. Rest assured, more empowerment programs are coming to benefit my people. More individuals will be included in the 2025 budget.”

Agboworin explained further, “We are adopting a universal approach to empowerment. This is why we are providing deep freezers and cash support to people living with disabilities to promote economic empowerment and sustainability.”

He also announced plans fwomen’smen empowerment shortly, aimed at supporting women in his constituency.

“I urge the beneficiaries to remain prayerful for more of these initiatives. I am committed to implementing impactful projects for my constituency in all spheres of life, without discrimination,” he said.

Mrs. Steve Ogundipe, a representative of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), congratulated the beneficiaries and commended Agboworin for his initiative in empowering PLWD.
