Akeem Agbaje Mourns Popular Islamic Cleric, Describes Death as Painful

Barrister Akeem Agbaje has mourned the death of popular Ibadan Islamic cleric, Sheikh Muyideen Ajani Bello. In a message released by his media office, Agbaje described the late Islamic scholar as a thorough bred teacher, preacher and leader of thoughts.

His death, he described as sudden and painful.

“This is a very sad day in Oyo State as the state has lost a vocal voice, an advocate of peace and an Islamic cleric of note. Sheikh Muyideen Ajani Bello was a man deeply devoted to Islam and used his teachings to correct societal ills and challenge people be forthright, peaceful and spiritual. His scholarly contributions transcended the religious sphere, he was a voice pushing for good governance that would better the lots of the people. Through his words and bold teachings, he reached the hearts of many across all walks of life.”

While lamenting his passing, Barrister Agbaje prayed for the repose of his soul while urging religious leaders to emulate his life of piety and dedication to the work of the Almighty.

“The death of Sheikh Muyideen Ajani Bello is sudden and painful, I pray Almighty Allah grants his Aljannah Firdaus and comfort the entire Muslim community in the state and across the country the fortitude the bear the loss.”
