Chief Dr. Kola Adewoyin, the Chairman of the occasion at the book launch of Birthmark held recently, has commended the authors while delivering a glowing report on the insightful contribution of the book to societal development.

The book was written and produced by a renowned author and linguist, Kilani Ibrahim.
While speaking at the occasion, ably represented by the daughter of Chief Dr. Kola Adewoyin, Ag. Dr Edith Oluwafunmilayo Adewoyin praised “Birthmark” as a masterpiece that explores the complexities of human experience with remarkable depth and insight. She, however, stated that the significance of the book titled “Birthmark” is a cautionary tale about the dangers of premarital sex. The novel centers on two main characters, Naheem and Temmy, whose experiences highlight the consequences of immoral behavior.

This book is a tour de force, a sweeping narrative that delves into the very heart of what it means to be human. The story condemns fornication and its potential to lead to serious issues, such as unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases.

“Temmy’s pregnancy serves as a stark reminder of the risks involved in engaging in sexual activity outside of marriage”.
Ag Dr. Edith further stated that the novel aimed to educate readers, particularly young adults, about the importance of abstinence and the negative impact of promiscuity. It also encourages parents to be vigilant and provide guidance to their children.

According to the Chairman, the author has done a great job in putting together this body of work, which I have no doubt will be a valuable resource for scholars, policymakers, and anyone interested in making a positive impact.
“I’m impressed by the author’s passion for creating positive change and contributions to society, and I have no doubt that this book will inspire readers to take action and make a difference,” she added.
The book launch was attended by a diverse gathering of literary enthusiasts, scholars, Chiefs, Community leaders religious advocacy, and members of the Public, especially the following dignitaries;
the Chief launcher, Prince Yinka Afonja, CEO of ACE Malls/Supermarkets; the father of the day, Sir Archbishop(Prince) Ayo Ladigbolu, and High Chief Abel Oyekan, the Elepe of Iseke land.
With “Birthmark” Kilani Ibrahim has undoubtedly cemented his reputation as one of the most exciting and innovative voices in contemporary literature.
