The Future is Now: SS3 Students Rule Ido LG For 24-hours

The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, has given a twist to intellectualism with the inauguration of Miss Amusan Elizabeth as a day chairperson Ido Local Government.

In the interschool quiz competition organized among the secondary school students in the Ido local government area by Sheriff Adeojo led administration, Miss Amusan Elizabeth, an SS3 student of Community High School Ido, emerged as the overall best student, while Miss Olojede Elizabeth, an SS3 student from the same school came out second.

Hon. Sheriff Adeojo, as a mark of honor and celebration of academic excellence, inaugurated the duo of Miss Amusan Elizabeth and Miss Olojede Elizabeth as the chairperson and vice chairperson, respectively, for a day.

The chairman, in his address, said students who excel in their academic pursuits need to be encouraged and celebrated, which will spur such students to do more and will encourage others to brace up to achieve academic excellence.

As a day chairperson , Miss Amusan Elizabeth was honored to preside over the local government’s November Peace and Security meeting, distribute exercise books to the pupils of Community Primary School, Ido, commission of renovated block of building for the use of Nigeria Immigration Services opposite the local government Secretariat and commissioning of an upgraded office building for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, located at Camp, Ido.

While distributing exercise books to the pupils of Community Primary School, Ido, the day chairman, urged pupils of the school to be focused and steadfast in their studies to be pride of their parents and Nigeria as a whole.
