After the painful and disappointing loss to Bendel Insurance of Benin in last Wednesday’s rescheduled Matchday three clash, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, have shifted their focus to the Matchday five fixture against Lobi Stars on Saturday, hoping to get the maximum points.
The Ibadan soccer lords were undone by a late goal in Benin, despite dominating the encounter at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.
Apparently unhappy with the undeserved defeat to Insurance, the team is prepared to make up for it with victory over Lobi Stars come Saturday at the Lafia City Stadium.

The Oluyole Warriors arrived the Nasarawa State Capital on Friday morning, beaming with confidence ahead of the clash of the Stars.

Coach Gbenga Ogunbote and his lieutenants, have as expected, worked on the lapses that led to the loss in Benin, with the players highly motivated to get the job done against the struggling Makurdi based side.
Shooting Stars are visiting Lafia for the second time this current season, having previously held Nasarawa United to a one all draw in a Matchday one tie, played on September 8.
The Ibadan soccer lords would hope to get a better result against Lobi Stars on the same turf where they shared the spoils with the Lafia City Stadium landlords on Matchday one.
The last time both sides met was on May 22 2024, in a Federation Cup Round of 32 tie played in Awka, where Shooting Stars emerged 2-0 victors.
Lobi Stars had clinched a 2-1 win over 3SC on Matchday ten of the 2023/24 NPFL in Lafia, before succumbing 0-2 to the Oluyole Warriors in the reversed fixture in Ibadan.
