The Special Assistant to the Governor of Oyo State on Oyo Federal Constituency Matters, Akin Alawode, has charged all the newly appointed Supervisory Councillors and the Special Assistants in all the 33 Local Governments of Oyo State to be bridge builders, peace and unity facilitators in their various Local Government constituencies.
Akin Alawode made this statement in his congratulatory message to all the newly appointed Supervisory Councillors and the Special Assistants throughout the State by His Excellency, Engineer Seyi Makinde (fnse).
While congratulating them on their well – deserved appointments, he charged them to see themselves as the lucky ones in the ocean of many equally well – qualified contenders. Therefore, they should justify the confidence reposed in them.
In his words, “I sincerely rejoice with you and congratulate you all on your appointments as Supervisory Councillors/Special Assistants in your various Local Government Councils. Your appointments, indeed, show the level of trust and confidence reposed in you, and it is hoped that you will justify the appointment”.
“Remember that as you are representing your people in your capacity, you are the catalysts to the unity, peace, internal cohesion of our great party (PDP), positive change and meaningful development. It is expected that you will join forces with your Executive Chairmen and other functionaries to bring about the much expected development, and to project properly the laudable achievements and visionary developmental efforts of His Excellency in your areas. You should see yourself bridge builders and centripetal forces for unity and internal cohesion of our great party.:
He concluded by pouring encomium on His Excellency, Engineer Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde for this and many other visionary efforts at bringing good governance to the thresholds of good residents of Oyo State. He therefore prays for his success, God’s guidance, and divine wisdom.l
