As the Islamic community marks the beginning of the new Hijrah year 1446, Barr. Nurudeen Temilolu Seun Ashamu, the Honourable Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources of Oyo State, extends heartfelt greetings to all Muslim faithful.
This significant occasion, commemorating the Prophet Muhammad’s migration from Mecca to Medina, is a time for reflection, renewal, and fostering communal harmony.
In his message, Barr. Ashamu expressed deep appreciation for the contributions of the Muslim community to the state’s development. He emphasized the importance of unity, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence among the diverse religious and ethnic groups within Oyo State. “The spirit of Hijrah teaches us about resilience, faith, and the pursuit of peace.
