A member of House of Representatives representing Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency, Rep. Abass Adigun, popularly known as Agboworin, has felicitated with muslim faithful across the world on the occasion of Islamic New Year Calendar, Hijrah 1446A.H.

The lawmaker, in a statement released through his Special Assistant on New Media, Aremu Ibraheem, stated that “the New Islamic Year Hijrah 1446A.H is an opportunity for our Muslim brothers and sisters to deepen their relationship with Allah, promote life of sacrifice, charity and love for one another.”

Agboworin, who also chairs the House Committee on Narcotic Drugs, prayed to Almighty Allah to shower his blessing on the Muslim Ummah and bless everyone as “we embark on a new Islamic year.”

Noting that the administration of Gov. Seyi Makinde is committed to promoting peaceful co-existence in the state, the lawmaker urged all Muslims to sustain these values even after the New Year to build a prosperous and peaceful Oyo State where everyone can actualise their dreams.

The lawmaker particularly congratulated Gov. Seyi Makinde, Muslims in his constituency, and Oyo State on the celebration, praying to God to continue to make the state peaceful and witness tremendous blessings, peace and many more Hijrah Celebrations.

“Allahumma adkhilhu ‘alayna bil amni wal iman, was salamati wal islam, wa jiwarim minash shaytan, wa ridwanim minar Rahman,” he prayed.
