The Iyaloja-General of Oyo State, Princess Folashade Abeo, has felicitated with the Muslim faithful on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-kabir.
Speaking through a statement personally signed on Sunday and made available to journalists, Princess Abeo equally congratulated the Oyo Muslim Community, tasking them to adhere strictly to the teachings of love, sacrifice, and charity to the have-nots.
Princess Abeo noted that, as exemplified by the prophet Ibrahim, the Muslims should endeavor to draw inspiration from his spirit of selflessness, compassion and generosity.
The statement read, “Today, I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to all members of the Muslim Community in Oyo and beyond on the occasion of this year’s Eid-ul-Adha.
“On this auspicious moment, I urge everyone to embrace the essence of love, sacrifice and compassion, which the Eid-ul-Adha embodies.
“As we celebrate this event, I encourage everyone to make the most of this reflective period by fostering kindness, peaceful-coexistence, and understanding within our diverse communities in the country.
“Equally, let us seize this opportunity to reach out to those in need, offer support to the less fortunate, and spread joy through acts of generosity and benevolence.”
