In line with the 1954 Universal Children’s Day established by the United Nations, the Executive Chairman of Atiba Local Government, Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji Wabkem, has sent a warm message of felicitations to the Royal Council Children on the occasion of World Children’s Day.

According to a statement released to the press, the council chairman emphasized that every child is special and highlighted the belief that investing in our future means investing in our children.

Adetunji reiterated that each child possesses distinct intellect and urged residents, especially parents and teachers, not to exclude children from global competitions and emerging trends in our constantly changing world. He stressed the importance of training and caring for children to ensure a better future for them.

The Golden Son of the Royal Council described children as God’s precious gifts, emphasizing the need to provide them with good morals and Western education.

He urged parents and guardians to invest in their children’s education, provide moral training, and expose them to their respective cultures and traditions.

Wabkem advised children to maintain good moral behavior, honesty, and fear of God in all their actions. He also emphasized the importance of concentrating on their education to justify the significant investment made in them by their parents and the government.

He specifically mentioned that in Atiba, children’s rights, privileges, and welfare will be well protected under the restoration agenda, assuring that all necessary measures will be taken to implement policies and ideas that treat children justly and without discrimination.

He described children as the leaders of tomorrow and implored them to avoid bad behaviors such as thuggery, drug abuse, and other social vices that could ruin their future.
