The Lawmaker representing Ibadan North Constituency 1 at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Dr Olufunke Comforter Adeniyi-Olajide has joined the celebrations to felicitate all Children in Ibadan North Local Government, Oyo State, Nigeria, and the World all over, on their occasion of the Children’s Day celebration, which comes up every May 27th of each year.
In her statement made available by her media team, Hon. Olajide who is The Chairman House Committee on Women Affairs and Community Development, expressed her optimistic views with prayers that the children will grow in wisdom to fulfill their purposes in life.
As a lover of children, Hon. Olufunke Comforter, who is also the founder of ‘The COMFORTER’S FOUNDATION’, appealed to parents not to relent in their quests to send their wards to school as the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde has made Education Free in this Pacesetters’ State, Oyo.
Finally, she stated that since the children are our future, and initiatives that come from them give confidence that our country, state and local government has a bright future, they (such children) must be nurtured in the right way without being denied their rights to live.
She concluded the wishes by saying: “May our children have the cause to celebrate more of this day in the land of the living and may we not weep over any of them for any cause. Happy Children’s Day.”
