In a statement released and made available to Heritage Echo News, Hon. Prince Afonja was a role model to many, his hobby was putting smiles on people’s faces. His doors were always open, and his arms were outstretched to help the needy.

Hon. Gbade Oshin joined Oyo indigenes at home and abroad in condoling families, friends, and associates of the late business mogul, whose enigma, creativity, and philanthropist gesture would be remembered forever.

According to him, “I received with great shock the news of the demise of the foremost philanthropist, renowned Chartered Accountant, community leader, and former Minister of Labour and Productivity, Prince Ajibola Afonja.

His contributions to the growth and development remain top-notch, Oyo kingdom has lost a remarks soul, a complete gentleman, intellectually riched, and left a legacy that will be difficult to break.

In these trying times, my thoughts are with the immediate family, Òyó indigenes while urging all to take solace in the legacy of Pa Chief Sulaiman Ajibola Afonja.
