The Muslim Community of Oyo State, Atiba local government branch, paid a courtesy visit to the council Chairman-elect, Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji Wabkem, and his running mate, Hon. Badmus Ismail Olaide, to congratulate them on their victory in the April 27th council poll.

The Muslim Ummah gathered at the Chairman-elect’s residence at precisely 5 p.m. on the evening of the visit, led by Sheikh Alhaji Miftaudeen Oloyin.

Speaking at the event, Sheikh Miftaudeen Oloyo disclosed that the purpose of their visit was to rejoice and congratulate Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji Wabkem and Hon. Badmus Ismail Olaide as Chairman and Vice-chairman-elect, following their overwhelming victory in the April 27th local government elections.

“All praises and adoration are due to Almighty Allah, the Lord of incomparable Majesty.

May His peace and blessings be upon the gentle soul of our noble prophet, his household, and those who are treading the path of divine guidance till the day of resurrection,” he said.

“On behalf of the Muslim Community in Atiba and Sooro local governments, we are here to show our immense gratitude to Allah for the enviable and well-deserved positions He has bestowed upon you as the Chairman and Vice-chairman of Atiba Local Government, Offa-meta, Oyo.

“May Allah, in His infinite mercy, continue to protect you, guide you aright, and grant you all the wherewithal required to succeed in the administration of our noble local government.

“May the status be a witness for you and not against you in this life and hereafter,” he prayed.

Appreciating them for their visit, Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji Wabkem lauded the Muslim Community for their congratulatory visit and the official letter conveying their overwhelming victory at the poll.

He assured them of a model of good governance aimed at meeting the needs of the people, stating, “Together, we’ll make a difference.”

Wabkem further emphasized an open-door policy for discussions on grassroots infrastructural development and improving living standards for Atiba residents.
