Following the reconstruction of Asunle, Arapaja, Odo-Ona Kekere road in Ibadan, member representing Oluyole State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Waheed Akintayo (Ilumoka) has appealed to the State Government to construct speed breakers at some of the flashpoints on the said road.

Hon. Waheed Akintayo made the appeal on Tuesday while presenting a motion on the floor of the house on the need to appreciate Governor Seyi Makinde for fulfilling his promise to renovate the road.

He said Governor Seyi Makinde had again demonstrated that he is a listening leader who will always address the demands and problems of the people.

” I want to appreciate our people loving Governor for approving the reconstruction of Asunle, Arapaja, Odo-Ona Kekere road. This has put an end to the suffering experienced by commuters and residents on the road.

The had been neglected by successive Governments in Oyo State.

However, since the completion of reconstruction work on the road, it has been observed that some recalcitrant drivers, motorcyclists and trcyclists especially the commercial ones now drive recklessly on the road hence there’s the urgent need for the State Government through the Ministry of Local Governments and Chieftaincy Matters to take necessary action to construct speed breakers at flashpoints like LGA Health Centre close to Arapaja, Arapaja village electric transformer, Abamba/Aboke junction, Community Health Centre Odo Okun, Odo Okun Eid Praying ground, Laanisa junction and Ilu tuntun junction.

This is to prevent occurrence of road carnages.” Hon. Waheed Akintayo Ilumoka said
