Hon. Afolabi Idris Olanrewaju ALOMA has congratulated the newly elected chairmen of the 33 local government, their vice, and 351 councilors in Oyo State with a call on them to see their election as a call to grassroots development.
ALOMA in a statement released and made available to Heritage Echo News following the official announcement of the April 27th local government councils election results by the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission, OYSIEC, equally congratulated all the flag-bearer of the masses party, People’s Democratic Party, PDP on the party’s victory at the poll.
He commended them for their active campaigning processes after the election and expressed satisfaction with the hitch-free nature of the poll as well as the peaceful conduct of voters during and after the exercise.
The statement read in parts;
“On behalf of my family and the good people of Oyo federal constituency, I rejoice and congratulate all the four Chairmen-elect, their Vice and councilors in just concluding Oyo State local government elections”
” While I felicitate with you, I want to urge you all to see the mandates freely given to you by the electorate as a call to serve, and do your best to justify the confidence reposed in you”.
” Victory is sweet, your visionary leadership at the grassroots is very important in this crucial period, it’s the government nearest to the masses, I’ll urge you to follow the good legacy of His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde to record unlimited achievements”.
“I implore urged. you to be fair and just to all irrespective of political interests and remain focused on the plight of the neglected majority by providing them with good governance ditto service delivery and initiate policies and programs that would generate more revenue for the LGAs to make it economically viable.
Once again, I urge you all to take local security architecture effectively,.woo investors and create a conducive environment for businesses to thrive”
