Council Poll: Oyo Assembly Chief Whip Oyekola Congratulates Wabkem, Oluokun, Olukitibi, Aikomo, their Vice, and All Councilorship Candidates

Hon. Gbenga Joseph Oyekola, the Chief Whip of the Oyo State House of Assembly representing the good people of Atiba Local Government, has congratulated all newly elected Chairmen, their vice, and Councilors in the Oyo Federal Constituency.

The council poll was held yesterday, Saturday, 27th of April, where the OYSIEC chairman, Aare Isiaka Olagunju (SAN), the Commissioner of Police in the State, Adebola Hamzat, and other Security agencies in the state commended the conduct of the poll, describing it as free, fair, credible, and violence-free.

In a statement released and made available to newsmen on Sunday, Hon. Gbenga Oyekola rejoices with the new chairmen-elect, Vice-chairman, and all 40 Councilors in the Oyo federal constituency.

The Oyo Assembly Chief Whip, who is also the director of logistics in the recently concluded election, applauded the Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde, for providing the State electoral commission with all that was needed to conduct free, fair, and credible elections.

Leading the accolades, Hon. Gbenga Oyekola hailed the productive campaign efforts of the victorious candidates namely; Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji Wabkem (Atiba), Hon. Prince Akeem Salam Babatunde Olukitibi (Oyo West), Hon. Oluokun Peters Olusola (Oyo East), Hon. Olufemi Aikomo (Afijio) for securing significant victories at the poll.

He equally appreciates the security agents as well as all the parties that participated in the election for ensuring a peaceful election devoid of violence.

The statement read in Parts: “I congratulate you all, the newly elected Chairmen, Hon. Wabkem, Olusola Oluokun, Prince Olukitibi, Aikomo, their vice, and all the councilors that emerged from the Saturday election.”

“I rejoice with you all on your election victory; you worked so hard every day to achieve this accomplishment, and I can’t think of anyone who deserves it more.”

“Please accept my warm congratulations on your victories and my best wishes for your successes as you prepare to take up the responsibilities and challenges of your offices.

Please know that you have my full support and best wishes for success in all your future endeavors.

I look forward to seeing the great things you will achieve in your tenure.
