In one of the latest political developments, five major groups; governmental and social simultaneously endorsed Mr. Mudashiru Kamorudeen for the chairmanship of the Lagelu local government area.
The groups included The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), League of Imams and Alfas, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), market leadership group and the traditional rulers council in the local government.
All five groups endorsed Mr. Kamoru ahead of the April 27 council election. It was a development that proved to be the latest point in the election cycle that the five major groups had ever backed a Chairmanship candidate in the local government area.
In reaction to the development, the Chairmanship candidate, Mr. Mudashiru Kamorudeen said his campaign was “honored” and very appreciative to receive the groups’ endorsement, adding that he looked forward to working with them throughout his administration, upon his election into office.
