Barely three days before the upcoming local government elections in Oyo State, residents of Oke-Aafin Ward 03 have assured the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chairmanship candidate, Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji Wabkem, his vice, Hon. Badmus Ismail Olaide, and ten Councilorship candidates of support with massive votes to ensure their victory at the polls.
This was disclosed yesterday during the street credibility campaign of the people’s choice Chairmanship candidate and his Councilorship across the nooks and crannies of Aremo Ward 03, where Islamic clerics, traditionalists, and residents displayed their backing for good governance envisioned by the candidate.
Khalifa Ahmad Oloola, Imam Asheik Abdul Azeez Babalola, Alhaji Yakubu Mainasara, and Oluwo Alaafin, lauded the humanity of Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji Wabkem, articulating his philanthropic gestures directly to the needy before his political aspirations, stressing that he’s undoubtedly a beacon of democratic excellence.
The clerics, in their separate remarks, expressed unwavering confidence in the frontline chairmanship candidate’s leadership abilities and capacity towards commitment to advancing unprecedented development of the Royal Council.
“As a Councilor during Alao-Akala’s regime, his performance remains top-notch and is yet to be surpassed by any Councilor in Oyo federal constituency, an intimidating record of excellence beyond the ordinary.”
They cited the Candidate’s proven dedication to championing the welfare of Atiba residents, restoring legacy, and seeking productive living conditions in finding lasting solutions to infrastructure, healthcare delivery, education, and adequate security at the grassroots level.
“We assure you of massive votes across units in Ward 03; you’re a pure democrat, this is your time, and we’ll put smiles on your votes through massive turnout,” the cleric assured.
Also, representing the trader and youth constituency in the Aremo zone, Alhaja Mosadi-oluwa Owoyengbe, Yusuff Raheem Olasunkanmi, and Alhaji Sofiulah Agboluaje reiterated Wabkem’s commitment to fostering inclusive economic development, thereby creating a conducive environment for businesses to thrive, garnering rudiments of sustainable growth by setting a stage for a transformative era of good governance.
They assured PDP candidates of massive votes and ensured that Ward 03 Councilor, Alhaji Adebayo Adewale, emerged victorious before noon on election day.
“We’re solidly behind Alhaji Adebayo Adewale’s candidacy; he has performed wonderfully well in his first term. Give him another chance to set another stage for unprecedented development; he knows where the shoe pinches, and he’s representing our interests massively,” the constituents affirmed.
In his remarks, the PDP Chairmanship Candidate in Atiba local government, Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji Wabkem, commended the Aremo residents for their overwhelming support, stressing his promise to serve with diligence and integrity.
