The Executive Chairman of Oyo West local government, who is ably seeking a re-election bid for the 27th of this month local government elections in Oyo State, Prince Akeem Salam Babatunde Olukitibi has sent a message of congratulations to the Muslim community in the council area, on the occasion of Eid-il-Fitr, the festival marking the end of the month of Ramadan.

In a statement released and made available to Heritage Echo News, Prince Olukitibi expressed congratulations to all Muslim Ummah on the occasion of the festival marking the end of the holy month, urged them not to relent in their fervent prayer for the development of the council, Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
He expressed gratitude to Muslims and residents of the area for remaining steadfast despite the situation the state found itself. He further looked for we’ll sues for tolerance and peaceful Co-existence.

The statement reads;
Dear, the good people of the Royal Council,

Ramadan Kareem to Muslims Ummah in Oyo West Model Council,
“I would like to extend my warmest wishes to Muslims in Oyo West and around the state celebrating Eid-il-Fitr.
As you mark the end of Ramadan, it marks a new beginning for all Muslims and a reason to celebrate.
As you celebrate Eid, It’s a reminder to Muslims of the importance of respecting those of other faiths and beliefs.
May Allah’s peace be upon you All.
