Former Board Chairman of Oyo State Water Corporation, Hon. Maroof Akinwande has extended heartfelt greetings to the Muslims Ummah on the occasion of Eid-il-Fitr celebration, called Love, Renewed Commitment and peaceful Co-existence as teachings of Ramadan.

Akinwande, a former federal Lawmaker representing Oyo federal constituency reiterated that the completion of the compulsory Ramadan Kareem fasting entails renewed commitment, hope and prosperity in a spiritual commitment.
He said the day of Eid is like a happy gathering where families, friends, and communities come together to pray for Allah’s unlimited blessing, eat delicious home-cooked meals, exchange gifts, and pray together.

The statement read in parts;

Happy Eid il-fitr to all Muslims Ummah,
“On behalf of My family, My heartfelt greetings and warmest felicitations to our Muslim faithful celebrating the completion of 30-day Ramadan fasting — Eid-il-fitri!
“Eid-il-fitri holds a special place in our hearts as it marks the end of Ramadan which is a month of fasting, prayer, and spiritual reflection. It is a time of celebration, gratitude, and renewed commitment to living by the values of Islam – love, compassion, and peaceful coexistence”.
“I urge all of us, regardless of our backgrounds, to foster love, understanding, and mutual respect. Let us build bridges of friendship and cooperation, transcending differences and working together towards a brighter and more inclusive future for all”.
“As we embark on this new chapter post-Ramadan, let us carry forward the spirit of Eid-il-fitri – a spirit of kindness, generosity, and forgiveness. May this festive season bring us closer together and inspire us to create a world filled with love, compassion, and harmony”. He urged.
