Surveyor Oyekalu Rasheed Oyegbami has celebrated the first female Speaker in the history of Oyo State, a former Senator and member of the Governor’s Advisory Council, Senator Monsurat Olajumoke Sunmonu on her birthday.
Oyekalu, in a statement released and made available to Heritage Echo News described Senator Monsurat Sunmonu as a reputable grassrooter and one of the stabilizing forces of Oyo State politics.
He further stated that; Senator Monsurat remains a pure lover of modern Oyo State with the sustainable legacy of His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde, who on many occasions demonstrated her love for the development of the state through actions, belief, and prayers.
“Senator Sunmonu stands out as a leading female figure not just as a leader alone but as a mother to us all in Oyo federal constituency and the state at large, who will not want her children to fall in”Oyekalu affirmed.
He extolled the virtues of the celebrant whom he described as a devout Muslimah and magnanimous helper of umpteen disadvantaged Oyo State residents during her speakership and as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
