Ahead of the April 27, 2024 Local Government elections in Oyo State, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has presented the Party flag to the incumbent chairman of Ogo-Oluwa Local Government Ajaawa and chairmanship candidate of the party, Hon. Ojo Seun Adesoye.
The event which was held at Ajaawa Roundabout had in attendance several party leaders, stakeholders, party faithful, and members.
In his address, the senatorial Chairman of the party, Hon. Mufutau Ogunremi lauded leaders and supporters of the People’s Democratic Party in Ogo-oluwa/Surulere federal constituency for positive outcomes of the National Assembly candidate and Governorship elections.
He further implored them to replicate the same during the April 27th local government elections.
Addressing the massive crowd, the state secretary of the party enjoined the people to troop out en-mass in large numbers on April 27th to cast their votes for the candidates of the People’s Democratic party in Ogo-oluwa as they’ve done today at the campaign ground.
He described the opposition as noisemakers who have nothing to offer the people except noise. He further charged the Chairmanship and Councilorship candidate to run an all-inclusive administration to ensure people get the dividends of democracy.
Equally, the Chief of staff to Governor Makinde, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, Barrister Olasunkanmi Olaleye refuted the claims of the opposition that the local government elections will be rigged. They enjoined the party leaders, and stakeholders to mobilize fully across polling units, and wards to record maximum victory.
Also speaking, the Ogo-Oluwa Local Government Chairman, Hon. Ojo Seun Adesoye commended the party state executives led by the Deputy Chairman, Hon. James Omikunle, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, the Chief of staff to Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, Hon. Michael Ogunsina, Barrister Sunkanmi Olaleye, Hon. Abideen Adeoye Ogundare, all stakeholders, leaders and faithful party members.
He said; “I joyfully received the party chairmanship flag during a carnival-like Federal constituency flag-off held at Ajaawa Roundabout this morning”.
“In an event organized by the state chapter of our party, I was presented with what reaffirmed my candidacy as the chairmanship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogo Oluwa Local Government in the coming local government polls”.
“On behalf of all candidates on the platform of our party in Ogo Oluwa Local Government, I am imploring you to come out on the 27th of April 2024 to vote overwhelmingly for us as that will be the ultimate show of your support for our party and the continuation of the good works we have started”.
Together, we’ll champion the aspirations of Ogo-Oluwa local government, ensuring their voices resonate in the corridors of power as well as transforming progressive development at the grassroots level.
