Following the demise of the late Olubadan, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Moshood Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II, who joined the ancestors on Thursday night at the ancient University College Hospital, UCH, Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, the Balogun of Ibadan Land, who is the leader of the military line in the Olubadan system will ascend to the newly vacant position of Olubadan of Ibadan Land.
Next in line to Olakulehin is Senator Rashidi Ladoja, the former Governor of Oyo State, who heads the civilian line as Otunba Olubadan.
This latest development marks a significant shift in the leadership within the Olubadan system or hierarchy as Oba Owolabi Olakulehin is set to 43rd Olubadan of Ibadan Land in the coming days.
Olakulehin’s Son, Sunbo Owolabi, was the former commissioner for water resources during the administration of late former governor Isiaka Abiola Ajimobi.
