Political Head and Administrator of Sooro Local Council Development Area, Hon Oguntona Seun Olunloyo has declared zero tolerance to all forms of criminalities, banditry inclusive,in the area.
In a statement released and made available to Heritage Echo News through the acting media officer, Ade Adeniyi, said Hon Olunloyo made the declaration while on the spot assessment of banditry attack on Igbonla village in Sooro LCDA saying that “there is no hiding place for any person or group of people who are bent on disrupting the peaceful atmosphere prevailing in Sooro LCDA.
This Newspaper recalled that the state assembly lawmaker representing the Atiba State constituency, Hon Oyekola Joseph Gbenga made public an urgent matter at the hallow chamber of the state assembly and sounded alarm on the Bokoharam incursion, demanding urgent actions to ensure public safety.
The bandits who visited the village on Monday night destroyed properties and unleashed terror on the villagers causing pandemonium with residents running helter skelter and before the dust of the attack settled, one Mr Amodu Igbonla was severely wounded while others sustained various degree of injuries.
The timely intervention of Hon Oguntona and tactically coordinated efforts of the local hunters led to the arrest of the attackers and were reportedly handed over to the security agencies for discrete investigation.The hospital bill of the man wounded has been taken care by the Hon Olunloyo and even promised his family more.
