Goalkeeper Okemute Odah’s heroics and a brave performance from the entire team, was good enough to earn Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) a point against Plateau United FC in Jos.
The Ibadan soccer lords fought tooth and nail to force the homers to a 0-0 draw, ending the Jos based side’s hundred percent home record.

The Oluyole Warriors started the matchday 21 fixture, played at the New Jos Stadium on a bright note, taking the game to the hosts right from the blast of the referee’s whistle.
Plateau United will soon come into the game but all their efforts to find the back of the net proved abortive, thanks to the reflexes of Okemute and the resistance of the defence line, made up of Aniyikaye Adeleye, Adelowo Gbolagade, Muritala Taiye, and Victor Ehibe.

The visitors also had it tough curtailing Alex Aghahowa, Ayobami Junior, Malomo Taofeek and Daddy Abdulrahman, while Jimoh Oni and Alimi Sunday, ran things upfront.
With the first half ending goalless, the two sides upped their game in the second half, looking for the opener which however failed to come.
Coach Gbenga Ogunbote strenghtened his side with the introduction of Joshua Akpan, Pyagbara Dumte, Lawal Abdulalahi, Gali Falke and Ayodeji Bamidele in the second half.
The hosts got an ample opportunity to break the deadlock towards the end of the match when they were awarded a penalty after Okemute) fouled a Plateau United player.
The Shooting Stars’ safe hand however, produced a superlative save, to deny Plateau United victory at home for the first time this season.
The draw takes the Oluyole Warriors’ point haul to 27 and the team will next play host to Bendel Insurance in a matchday 22 tie billed for Thursday.
