The Chairmanship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oluyole ahead of the coming April 27 Local Government Election, Engr Akeem Olatunji, has described the Speaker, Oyo state House of Assembly, Rt. Honorable Adebo Ogundoyin as pragmatic, visionary leader, who is shaping up the legislative landscape in the state.
Olatunji added that the Speaker has clearly earned his place as a shining light representing the youth Constituency of the Nigerian population by critically influencing not only the legislative proceedings within the walls of the assembly plenary chambers but also leaving a lasting impact on the broader legislative landscape of the Nigerian nation.
The former publicity secretary of the ruling PDP in Oyo state stated these in a statement on Saturday in commemoration of the Speaker’s 37th birthday anniversary celebration.
According to Olatunji, Ogundoyin has clearly emerged as a beacon of hope, pragmatic and visionary leadership, and steering the ship of governance towards unprecedented heights thereby, making himself worthy of education by other young crop of politicians.
“The Rt. Honourable Speaker has clearly demonstrated the required top level ability to apply practical solutions to complex issues, within and outside the legislative institution and he has exemplified this trait in various aspects.
“His efficient leadership of the state assembly transcends the shores of the South western region making him a very good and seleable political project at the national level even as he is now the leader of Nigeria Conference of Speakers of state legislature, courtesy of being a core disciple of the Seyi Makinde political dynasty.
“I must also state that as my friend, brother and confidant, one of the hallmarks of Ogundoyin’s pragmatic approach to leadership lies in promoting an atmosphere of inclusivity within the legislative chamber devoid of political affinity and also encouraging constructive debates and embracing diverse perspectives.
