One of the leading candidates for the vacant stool of the Alaafin of Oyo, Prince Siyanbola Afeez on Friday observed Juma’at prayer at the ancient Oyo Central mosque.

Prince Siyanbola Afeez Oladigbolu was a direct grandson of the late Alaafin Abubakar Siyanbola Onikepe Oladigbolu. While observing Juma’at prayer with Islamic faithful and clerics, he prayed for peace and development of the ancient town.

It would be recalled that the stool of Alaafin became vacant after the demised of Late Oba Dr. Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III, while necessary arrangements had been put in place by the Oyomesi-in-council to appoint a new monarch but seems pending by the court cases and others.

Amidst pageantry and prayer, shortly after Jummah, large numbers of Oyo residents gather to pray for the Prince to emerge victorious.

Addressing the thousands of Oyo youth, Prince Afeez Siyanbola urged them not to relent in their fervent prayer for the development of the ancient town as well as given them a monarch with the milk of human kindness, visionary, eloquent, and ready to transform the town.

He said; “May ALLAH make u greater than who you are, show you more ways than you know, uphold you stronger than you stand, and make your future higher than today. Above all May your wishes be granted, your prayers be accepted, your Kindness belimitless and your mistakes be forgiven, Ameen. Juma’at Mubarak”

Similarly, the Prince visited some Islamic clerics notably; Alhaji Yakubu Mainasara, the Mufti of Oyo, Alhaji Abdul Afeez Sarumi, the Chief Imam of Ansaru-ud-deen, Imam Mikail Mobolaji Adeyemo, and several others.

Prince Siyanbola, while he was rising in the business world, didn’t remain static on the social radar where he loves to be as his profile continued to rise even in the social circle.
With good foresight, God-fearing, and humane, his love for Oyo township knows no bounds
