A society will not be a better place to live and function progressively for the development of the country if the participants are not educated.
In his quest to contribute to the developmental projects throughout the 59 wards of his Senatorial District, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola FCA, popularly called YAYI, took an uncommon step and fulfilled one of his electioneering campaign promises in the area of human development.
The Chairman Senate Committee on appropriation, Senator Adeola, did another wonder yesterday. It is the first of its kind in the history of Ogun West and the entire state, as he maximally invested a huge amount of 200 million naira into the education of his constituents. While It is no longer news, but it surprised many to witness such a significant step from a Nigerian politician.
However, those close to the senator were not surprised by this wonderful development.
The senator has been known for his kindheartedness, using every power and opportunity within his reach to contribute to both human and material development in his constituency.Since yesterday, it has become imperative for me to put thoughts like these in writing about this giant strand of development by the senator. In one of my quotes on Facebook, where I wrote, “As students from Ogun West, you will be thrilled, encouraged, and motivated to be more serious in your studies onward.
For a politician to have financially supported Indigent Ogun West students from various tertiary institutions spread across all the geopolitical zones of the country in the present economic harsh of the entire nation, numbering 52 of tertiary institutions, out of which 1600 students on YAYI SCHOLARS of scholarship and bursary enlisted. No student collected less than a cheque of 150,000 naira; students on the list of scholarship scheme collected 200,000.
“Dear students from the region, it is essential to take your studies seriously and remain focused, as a scholarship and bursary scheme will be launched annually to support higher education in the senatorial district” iterated by the senator.
Whether you are in secondary schools in Ogun West or aspire to enroll in any higher institution, excelling in your studies could lead to benefiting from significant educational support provided by YAYI. The recent event, labeled the first YAYI SCHOLARSHIP AND BURSARY AWARD, marked a commitment from the senator to continue this initiative annually and strive to increase the number of beneficiaries to accommodate more students.
This represents an unprecedented level of support from the senator.
As senators represented the district are concerned, we have never had it as good as we do now with our current representative, YAYI, who is a Godsend to the region.
He has accomplished numerous developmental projects in the shortest time since assuming office as the senator representing Ogun West.
The list includes 78 projects ranging from building classrooms, market shops, hospitals, to road constructions spread across all the 59wards of Ogun West.In the area of empowerment, events are lined up for the weekend and the new week, which I call 3in1.
The first phase took place yesterday, and the second and third phases will be held today and tomorrow, where constituents will be empowered. (Watch out for it).
It is a high time one can be proud to be from Ogun West in Ogun State, Nigeria. We have a son, politician, leader, Chief Aremo of Yewa-Land like no other. Yayi politically, is worthy of emulation, I will urge other political players in the region and the state to learn from his political school of thought.As a person, admirer of Yayi, follower, constituent, lover, supporter, I have never regretted supporting and working with Yayico.
Because with the principal, he is making the entire team proud. Senator Yayi; I am proud of you always, sir.
Many mind-blowing projects and empowerments are on the way coming. Which can be topic of discussion for another day.
All we need as the lovers, administers , supporters of Yayi is that we should continue praying for him. For long life, God protection and guidance now and forever. Amen!
YAYI WONDERS ARE MANY; Yayi will say and I quote ” you have not seen anything yet”. I will need to believe this, even having seen many of his wonders.
