The excitement among Nigerian football fans has reached a fever pitch with the recent free broadcast matches at the ongoing AFCON by the Government of Oyo State.

Speaking on behalf of the state government, Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Oyo State, Honourable Wasilat Adegoke said ” His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde as a sport loving governor remain committed to anything that will add value to the good people of Oyo State”.

Speaking to press men after the game, Alfa Raheem Abdul, a resident of Sabo community commend the government for providing free broadcast that the initiative ensures that football fans, regardless of their financial situation, can access and watch the games. He noticed that such gesture is promoting inclusivity and allows a wider football fans to engage with the sport. Raffle draw and lots of side attractions also add value to the broadcast.
