In the same vein, the Leadership of PDP in Oyo East Local Government, Stakeholders, Political Functionaries, Exco Members and entire members have expressed gratitude to Engr Seyi Makinde, the Executive Governor of Oyo State for considering it worthy to put a Round Peg in a Round Hole over the appointment of Hon. Alawode Iliasu as Special Assistant to the Governor\Governor Liaison Offer(GLO) of Oyo Federal Constituency. The Party described Hon Alawode as a committed and Dedicated member of the party for years and we are glad that, this appointment come at the right time.
Akin Alawode Iliasu is a graduate of University of Nigeria, Nsukka and an Old Student of St Joseph Modern Secondary School, Awe, Oyo, Oyo State.
Until his appointment, he was the immediate Retired Assistant Director of Administration at the Agency of Education Resource Centre(ERC), Federal Ministry of Information and Culture & the Noble Man just retired in February, 2023. While in active service, Alawode held several positions and schedule of duties very diligently.
As a linguistic, Hon Alawode was also a Part Time Lecturer in Communication Skills at Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa State and English Part Time Lecturer at Federal College of Education, Special, Oyo.
In his poetry and writing Skills, he has published books, Journals and Theses that is widely in use at Schools, Institutions and Libraries.
As a Rural Community Developer and Grassroots Mobilizer, Hon Alawode was a Director of Rural Programmes for the PDP 2023 General Elections Campaign Team, Oyo East Local Government and also served as Zonal Cordinator, Oyo Federal Constituency, Seyi Makinde Agenda Actualization Team(SMAAT) in 2019.
Alawode Liasu Adebamiji Akinkunmi is a native of Akoda Compound, Oke Apo Ward 08 of Oyo East Local Government, married with wives and blessed with Children.
