The People Democratic Party (PDP) in Atiba Ward (04), also known as Prime Minister Ward, including executives, stakeholders, leaders, and faithful party members, has officially endorsed Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji Wabkem for chairmanship, along with his vice Hon. Badmus Olaide Ismail and all councilorship candidates for the upcoming local government elections in Oyo State.

This endorsement took place during their consultative ward-to-ward visit at the weekly ward meeting on Monday, held at Isale-Basorun, Oyo township.

Prime Minister Ward assured the campaign team of unwavering support, pledging to ensure the victory of Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji Wabkem and his vice Hon. Badmus Ismail Olaide in the April 27th Council elections. They emphasized their confidence in Hon. Adewale Afeez as the rightful councilorship candidate, citing his philanthropic efforts as a reason for their endorsement.


During a large gathering, Baba Alaja, Barrister Waheed Gbadegesin, and others praised the chairmanship candidate’s efforts to solidify Atiba PDP, hailing him as a true democrat.

They expressed confidence that voting for Wabkem is a choice no one will regret due to his philanthropic disposition.

Former PDP Party Chairman in Atiba local government, Alhaji Muideen Tijani, assured stakeholders and members of rapid growth and development under the incoming administration, emphasizing a people-oriented approach.

Addressing PDP members, Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji Wabkem explained that his decision to contest the chairmanship race stems from a desire to improve the living standards of the royal council and restore the legacy of good governance.

Wabkem emphasized the importance of unity at the ward level for success in the 2024 elections and urged members to coexist peacefully.
