The deputy governor of Oyo state, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, on Saturday, attended the wedding ceremony of the daughter of Alhajia Khadijat Olanipekun, the Secretary to Oyo Pilgrims Board, held at the Prof. Theophilus Ogunlesi Hall, UCH, Ibadan.
Top Oyo government functionaries were present at the event, which was equally attended by men of Timber and Calibre. They included Chief Judge of Oyo state, Hon. Justice Iyabo Yerima; Deputy National Chairman, Taofeeq Arapaja; Senator Sumonu Monsurat; Director General, Due Process, Mis Tara Adefowope; Commissioner for Environment, Abdulmojeed Mogbojubola; Retired Head of Service, Ebenezer Okebukola and Immediate Oyo HOS, Mrs Amidat Ololade Agboola.
Also present were Chairman Pilgrims Board, Hashim Ateere; former Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Culture and Tourism, Alhaji Akeem Ademola Ige; Oluyole PDP chairmanship candidate, Akeem Olatunji, Former Housing Board Member, Elder Adekola; Housing Head of Planning and Survey, Animasaun Olalekan; Former Chairman Oyo Sports Council, Adewusi Olugbenga Arole; Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SAN), Judges, members of State House of Assembly, politicians, traditional rulers, religious leaders, various women Groups, Youths organizations, and members of the public.
The wedding ceremony of Hairat & Shakir was a carnival of sorts with different continental dishes served to guests with melodious relics to entertain the dignitaries.
The Deputy Governor, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal however wished the couple love, joy, and happiness as they begin their new life together.
