The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chairmanship candidate in Atiba local government, Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji WABKEM, on Saturday, paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Alaafin of Oyo’s son, Late Prince Abdul Fatai Adebayo Adeyemi.

Late Bayo Adeyemi died during a brief illness on Friday at the University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan, a day before his 47th birthday. He was buried according to Islamic rites on the same day at his residence in the Atingisi Tuntun area, Oyo township.

Hon. Waliu Adetunji expressed shock over the death of the former Chairman of the local government pension board, the late Prince Adebayo Fatai Adeyemi.

The Frontline Chairmanship candidate described the death of the late politician, who was former Secretary to Atiba local government and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) 2019 Oyo federal constituency House of Representatives candidate, as a significant loss.

De Gov fought and won many battles regarding his health, and we thought the worst was over. But we can submit to the will of God, who gives and takes life.

“On behalf of my family, the good people of the Royal Council, and Team Wabkem, I extend my condolences to Hon. Prince Akeem Adeniyi Adeyemi and the family of late Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III, Oyo West PDP, Oyo Federal Constituency, immediate family, and children of the late Prince Fatai Bayo Adeyemi over the death of their loved one.

“At a time when the Oyo empire is going through so much, it is very sad that we will miss such an important, highly religious fellow, man of peace, and voice of unity. But we are happy that he didn’t just come; he came to this earth, achieved so much, and was a blessing to many irrespective of gender and political affiliation.

“I pray that Almighty God will grant the entire bereaved family fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and grant the deceased Aljanat Fridaus,” he prayed.

Adieu.
