The Oyo-born Assistant Inspector of Police (AIG), Ogundele Joshua Ayodeji psc, paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Oyo West local government, Hon. Prince Salam Akeem Babatunde Olukitibi on Monday.
AIG Ogundele, originally from Baasi Compound, Iseke, Oyo, was warmly received by Prince Salam Olukitibi, Political functionaries, local government staff, political leaders, stakeholders, Council Imam, Alhaji Muideen Sunmonu, and others at the Chairman’s office, Ojongbodu Model Council Secretariat, Oyo, Oyo State.
During the visit, AIG Ogundele commended the council Boss for the warm reception, expressing his sense of belonging as a Son of the soil.
He urged the council Boss to enhance communal record monitoring for Oyo indigenes in the Nigerian Police Force, ensuring progressive promotion and successful years in service.
AIG Ogundele emphasized his commitment to maintaining a harmonious working relationship with the council Chairman, praising him as a responsible and patriotic grassroots administrator.
In response, Prince Salam Babatunde Olukitibi praised AIG Ogundele for promoting the Oyo Empire in the Nigerian Police Force. He assured continuous efforts to monitor Oyo indigenes in the force, fostering a productive working relationship.
Olukitibi highlighted his role as a responsive grassroots administrator, supporting the Police and other security agencies in the council area and the state at large.
Alhaji Muideen Sunmonu closed the remarks, applauding AIG Ogundele for elevating Oyo on the global map, noting him as the maiden Oyo indigene in such a position.
