…Recognised As ‘Most Sought-After Female Philanthropist’ In Oyo State

The Iyaloja General of Oyo State, Princess Folashade Abeo, has been recognised as the ‘Most Sought-After Female Philanthropist’ in the state.

This was as she was equally presented an Award of Excellence by the former Senator of Oyo Central, Sumonu Monsurat, during a pageant program organized by Silverstone Communications, which is owned by ace broadcaster, Mr. Isaac Brown, held at the Felicia Hall, Jogor Events Center, Liberty Road, Ibadan.

At the event, Princess Abeo, who was honoured to be part of the panel of the judges, which was chaired by Commissioner for Energy, Hon. Seun Ashamu, splashed a whooping sum of ₦50,000 each on all the 21 contestants who made it to the boot camp that lasted for over one week.

A statement made available to newsmen on Monday by Rahmon Alawode, indicated that the contestants who were graduates, undergraduates and self-employed youths, were thrilled about Princess Abeo’s charitable deed and appreciated her humanitarian contributions to society, especially her market trader empowerment programmes, which are visible to the blind in Oyo state.

“Even though I had thought that I won’t be taking anything home after a winner emerged, Princess Abeo, in her charitable ways of encouraging us, sprinkled surprise and watered us in the valley of hope,” one of the contestants remarked.

“She has not only made us smile, but has also made us know that we are all winners and that no one is a loser. So, we are very grateful and we appreciate her kind gesture.”

On his part, the organizer of the event, Mayor Isaac Brown, however commended Princess Abeo’s philanthropic gesture, describing her as ‘most sourced female philanthropist’ in Oyo state.

While extending her appreciation to the organiser of the event, Princess Abeo encouraged the contestants to keep their beauty as a diamond for the usefulness of educating younger generations on gender equality.

She noted that everyone must play a crucial role in the society to complement the efforts of Governor Seyi Makinde on good governance, stressing that we cannot always rely on the government alone to pull people up.
