In his bid to win the Guinness World Record for longest cooking hours, the Ogbomoso South Council Chairman, Hon. Oyeniyi Timothy Oyedokun has joined the volunteers to cheer the industrious son of the soil, Chef Tope Maggie to his potential champion’s kitchen.

It would be recalled that the Oyo State government through the honorable commissioner for information, Hon. Dotun Oyelade cheered Chef Tope Maggie earlier this week.

Oyedokun commended the Ogbomoso-born popular chef for promoting the town’s glory noting that the chef has made headlines for his relentless pursuit of the Guinness World Record to be won by an individual for the second time in Nigeria.

The council Boss further donated Cash to support the popular chef in his attempt to take Ogbomoso to the global world map, the first of its kind in history.

His statement reads; “In a culinary spectacle that has captured the attention of audiences worldwide, Chef Tope Maggie, a homegrown talent from Ogbomoso, is making headlines for his relentless pursuit of the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual”.

“The last 116 hours have been about Chef Tope, a determined Ogbomoso indigene, who is making a bold attempt to break the world record for the longest cooking marathon”.

“As the aroma of sizzling dishes wafts through the air, Chef Tope Maggie has become the pride of Ogbomoso, captivating hearts and taste buds alike. On Monday evening, I had the privilege of witnessing history in the making as Chef Tope Maggie marked a significant milestone: 100 hours into his ambitious cooking marathon, with the ultimate goal of reaching an impressive 200 hours”, he stated.

Oyedokun urged the chef not to be distracted, saying that the young cook was pursuing a legitimate ambition and should be encouraged and supported to achieve the same.
