The Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon.Tajudeen Abbas has appointed Atiba-born constituent, Honourable Ashimiyu Niran Alarape as his legislative aide at the National Assembly.
According to westernmirror.com.ng reports, Alarape’s appointment is contained in a letter dated October 11, 2023, and signed by the Secretary, of Human Resources and Staff Development; Birma Shuaibu Maina on behalf of the Clerk to the National Assembly.
According to the letter, Alarape’s appointment takes effect from June 13, 2023.
Alarape, former Speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly and a two-term lawmaker representing Atiba state constituency was part of the 9th Oyo Assembly as leader of the minority.
