The Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) candidate for Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency, Engineer Toheeb Adegoke, has held a strategic meeting with stakeholders and party leaders in Ward 8, Akinyele Local Government Area, as part of efforts to strengthen unity and consolidate support ahead of the forthcoming general election.

The meeting attracted a strong representation of party leadership and stakeholders, including the Oyo Central Senatorial Chairman, Hon. Dayo Opakunle; Akinyele Local Government Chairman, Hon. Wole Akinleye; Akinyele Party Chairman, Hon. Lateef Alaja; Council Secretary, Hon. Kangara; Leader Arowosaye; Leader Adekunle Yusuf; Hon. Kazeem Egbeleke; Alhaji Kunle Yusuf; Baba Taju Owe; and Mama Fadaunsi, alongside local government and ward executives, other party leaders and dignitaries.

The engagement was considered significant as it provided an opportunity for stakeholders to interact, exchange views and strengthen their collective resolve. Against the backdrop of differences that had existed among some stakeholders in the ward, the meeting provided a platform for dialogue and understanding, bringing the various interests together and creating a renewed sense of unity and common purpose.

Speaking during the meeting, Engineer Toheeb Adegoke described Ward 8 as one of the biggest wards in Akinyele, stressing that his decision to meet directly with the stakeholders was deliberate and worthwhile. He noted that meeting the stakeholders was not a mistake, given the strategic importance of the ward to his aspiration and the wider interests of the Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency.

The APM candidate appealed to the stakeholders to embrace unity and put their differences aside, urging them to work together towards achieving victory at the polls. He stressed that a united team would be better positioned to deliver the desired electoral success and advance the collective interests of the constituency.

Engineer Toheeb Adegoke also expressed profound appreciation to the leaders and stakeholders for the support they had continued to render to him, both before and after he secured the APM ticket to represent Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency in the forthcoming general election. He acknowledged their contributions to his political journey and called for the continuation of the same spirit of support, cooperation and commitment.

The meeting ended on a positive note, with stakeholders demonstrating renewed commitment to working together and strengthening the party ahead of the 2027 general election.
