The Ilaji Political Movement (IPM), alongside Iyaloja from the 33 Local Government Areas of Oyo State, youth and student stakeholders, traders, artisans, professional associations and other support groups associated with the Okanlomo Oodua and Gbonka Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief (Engr.) Jubril Dotun Sanusi, has declared its total support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the election of Senator Sharafadeen Alli as Governor of Oyo State in the 2027 elections.

The declaration was made during a special stakeholders’ meeting held at Ilaji Resort, Ibadan, with the Oyo State APC gubernatorial candidate, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, who represented the President at the engagement.

Senator Alli was accompanied by his Deputy Governorship Candidate, Hon. Soji Adedeji; Director-General of the Oyo APC Gubernatorial Campaign Organisation, Hon. Yemi Aderibigbe; and other members of his political entourage and campaign team.

Speaking on behalf of the Ilaji Political Movement, former Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Alhaji Kazeem Gbadamosi, and former Leader of the Oyo State Councillors’ Forum, Hon. They pledged to mobilise their structures and networks across the 33 local government areas for the re-election of President Tinubu and the election of Senator Alli as Governor of Oyo State in 2027.

Also, the Iyaloja General of Oyo State, Alhaja Saratu Aduke, led Iyaloja representatives from the 33 local government areas in openly declaring their support for the APC candidates.

The Nigeria Block Moulders Association, led by Alhaji Banko, equally declared its support for President Tinubu, Senator Alli and other APC candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.

Youth and student stakeholders in the state, led by Aare Alawode Rahmon Akintunde and Adegoke Ridwan (Pal Solution), commended the administration’s youth-focused initiatives while calling for greater inclusion of young people in governance and leadership.

The youth and student leaders subsequently pledged their support for the re-election of President Tinubu and Senator Alli’s gubernatorial ambition.

Other associations and groups represented at the meeting included the Oyo State Nylon Cutters Association; Food Dealers and Sellers Association of Nigeria; Association of Embroidery Designers; Wenders Electrical Repair and Installation Association of Nigeria, Oyo State Chapter; Joint Traders Association of Oyo State; Nigeria Incorporated Electronics Parts Dealers; National Association of Block Moulders, Oyo State Chapter; Association of Elero Alokuna, Oyo State; General Professional Drummers of Nigeria; Association of Satellite Sports View Operators of Nigeria; Nigeria Association of Patent Medicine Dealers; Association of Hairdressers and Beauty Therapy, Oyo State; The Elite Council Foundation, Oyo State; and other grassroots, trade and professional groups.

The stakeholders described the engagement as a significant platform for strengthening political unity, grassroots mobilisation and wider participation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

They pledged to take the message of continuity, good governance, youth inclusion and inclusive leadership to their respective communities, associations and constituencies across Oyo State.

The gathering further demonstrated the growing grassroots mobilisation around the APC ahead of the 2027 elections, with the participating groups reaffirming their readiness to work collectively for the success of President Tinubu, Senator Sharafadeen Alli and other APC candidates.
