Youths from Oyo State were fully represented at the commissioning of the Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Headquarters in Abuja, with a massive mobilisation led by the Director of Youth Mobilisation, Makinde/Adekanmbi Campaign Council, Hon. Kazeem Bolarinwa.
The Oyo youths, who turned out in large numbers for the event, expressed optimism about the possibility of a better Nigeria and described the 2027 election as an opportunity for Nigerians to reset the country through their votes.
Speaking with journalists after the commissioning, Bolarinwa said Nigeria was due for a reset, stressing that Governor Seyi Makinde had the leadership qualities, experience and track record to provide the needed transformation.
According to him, Makinde’s leadership style in Oyo State has demonstrated that he is a servant leader who understands the needs of the people and possesses the capacity to deliver good governance.
“Nigeria is due for a reset, and a servant leader like His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, is the best fit for this crucial assignment.
“With the atmosphere across the country, Nigerians are charged and ready to speak with their votes come 2027. They are ready to vote for their own, an Omoluabi and a precedent leader in the person of Seyi Makinde,” Bolarinwa said.
He maintained that the achievements recorded by Makinde in Oyo State were enough evidence of his capacity to lead at the national level, noting that his administration had demonstrated what purposeful leadership could achieve within a limited period.
Bolarinwa said the governor’s interventions in infrastructure, education, healthcare, economic development, youth empowerment and other critical sectors had positively impacted the people of Oyo State.
He further stated that Nigerians were yearning for leadership that would restore hope, strengthen the economy and create opportunities for young people, adding that Makinde’s record makes him a credible choice at a time the country needs a new direction.
The youth mobilisation director urged Nigerian youths to take active ownership of the 2027 electoral process, stressing that their votes would determine the kind of leadership that would emerge.
He expressed confidence that the massive turnout of Oyo youths at the Abuja event was a reflection of the growing support for Makinde among young Nigerians, adding that the movement would continue to gain momentum ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
