Residents Laud Rep. Agboworin As Lawmaker Installs Additional Solar-Powered Streetlights In Over 20 Communities In Constituency

The lawmaker representing Ibadan North-East/Ibadan South-East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Abass Adigun (Agboworin), has intensified the provision of solar-powered streetlights across communities in the constituency, with installations completed in several wards of Ibadan South-East Local and North East Local Government Area.

The initiative, which is part of the lawmaker’s electoral promises to the people, is aimed at improving security, enhancing visibility at night and contributing to the overall development and well-being of residents across the constituency.

The completed installations cover several strategic locations and communities, including Agbongbon linking Ita-Ege Road in Ward 5; Idi-Oro/Oke-Labo community in Ward 6; Christ Apostolic Grammar School in Ward 7; and FL area, Alake, Ward 8.

Also completed are installations at Inside Ile-Tuntun, Ward 8; Odi-Olowo/Oke-Irorun community in Ward 10; Osungbade Odo-Oba and Eyin Grammar/Eboda Street in Ward 11, as well as along Emmanuel Onitiju Crescent, Felele, Ibadan, Ward 12.

The solar-powered streetlights are expected to provide reliable illumination in the benefiting communities while reducing darkness around residential areas, roads and other public spaces.

The project reflects Rep. Agboworin’s commitment to fulfilling his promises to constituents through projects that have direct impact on their daily lives, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, security and grassroots development.

Meanwhile, the streetlight installation also covers several communities and strategic locations across Ibadan North-East Local Government Area, including Abayomi–Iwo Road, Onipasan, Testing Ground, and the areas behind Rose Wale Filling Station along Iwo Road and Abayomi, Iwo Road.

Other locations include Aremo, Irefin Palace Road, Ayeekale, and Ode-Aje–Ajibola community.

The project further extends to Idi-Aka-Babasale, as well as Gbenla–Lamini, among other communities within the local government area.

The initiative is part of Rep. Abass Adigun Agboworin’s commitment to improving security, visibility and the overall quality of life of residents through the provision of solar-powered streetlights across communities in the constituency.
