
Leaders of the Allied Peoples Movement, APM, in Oyo Federal Constituency have congratulated all Chairmanship, Vice Chairmanship and Councilorship candidates that emerged ahead of the forthcoming Local Government Election.

The congratulatory message was issued by South West Exco, Hon. Azeez Tirimisiyu, State Exco, Hon. Fariogun Adewale and Oyo East Party Chairman, Alhaji Rasheed Agba on behalf of stakeholders across Afijio, Oyo East, Oyo West and Atiba.
The leaders described the emergence of the candidates as a product of peace, unity and wide consultation within the party at all levels.

In Oyo East Local Government, the party congratulated Hon. Oluokun Olusola Peter_ who emerged as the Chairmanship Candidate, alongside his running mate, Alhaji Abdul Wasiu Ademola Mustapha as Vice Chairman.


The leaders said Hon. Oluokun and Alhaji Mustapha are grassroots politicians with the experience and commitment to deliver purposeful leadership to the people of Oyo East.

For Atiba Local Government , the leaders congratulated Hon. Wahab Waliu Wabkem who emerged as Chairmanship Candidate, and his Vice, Hon. Olaide Ismaila Badmus
They noted that the Atiba ticket represents a balance of youth vibrancy and experience that will address the developmental aspirations of the people.
In Oyo West Local Government, Hon. Alade Nureni emerged as the Chairmanship Candidate with Hon. Adebayo Saheed as his Vice.
The leaders expressed confidence that Hon. Nureni and Hon. Adebayo will provide inclusive and people-centered governance in Oyo West.
For Afijio Local Government, Hon. Sunday Akindele emerged as the Chairmanship Candidate alongside his Vice, and the leaders wished them success in the election.
The party also congratulated all Councilorship Candidates across the 10 wards in each of the four local governments that make up Oyo Federal Constituency.
The leaders said the list reflects fairness, loyalty and recognition of committed party members who have labored for the growth of APM.
They charged all candidates to run an issue-based campaign focused on grassroots development, security, youth and women empowerment.
The leaders used the opportunity to appreciate Governor Seyi Makinde and Senator Monsurat Sunmonu for their role in ensuring a smooth and rancor-free consensus arrangement.
Special prayers were offered for the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde and Senator Monsurat Sunmonu for God’s wisdom, protection and strength to serve the people.
The leaders reaffirmed their total belief and confidence in the leadership of Senator Monsurat Sunmonu , describing her as the rallying point and pillar of APM in Oyo State.
They called on all party faithful to unite, mobilize across wards, and work for resounding victory for all APM candidates in the forthcoming Local Government Election.
