‎Barr. Akeem Adedeji Agbaje, frontline gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, has strongly condemned the abduction of Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, younger sister of former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, describing the incident as disturbing, unfortunate, and unacceptable.
‎
‎In a statement, Barr Akeem Agbaje expressed deep concern over the growing security challenges confronting residents and communities, noting that the abduction of a mother and her young children underscores the urgent need for strengthened security measures across the state.
‎
‎He sympathised with Chief Adelabu, the immediate family, friends, and associates of the victims, while expressing hope that ongoing efforts by security agencies would lead to their safe and unharmed rescue.
‎
‎“The abduction of Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her twin sons is a painful and disturbing development. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time. I join other well-meaning Nigerians in hoping and praying for their safe and speedy release.”
‎
‎The APC chieftain stressed the need for a stronger security architecture, improved surveillance systems, and proactive intelligence gathering to prevent criminal activities and enhance the protection of lives and property across Oyo State.
‎
‎“This unfortunate incident once again highlights the importance of strengthening our security framework. There is an urgent need for proactive intelligence gathering, improved collaboration among security agencies, and greater investment in measures that will safeguard our communities and restore public confidence.”
‎
‎Agbaje called on residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies by providing useful information that could assist ongoing investigations and rescue efforts.
