The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, has congratulated Mrs. Adenike Ayobami Fasina on her appointment as the new Head of Oyo State Civil and Public Service by Governor Seyi Makinde, describing the development as a proud moment for Eruwa and the entire Ibarapa region.

In a statement, the Speaker expressed delight over the appointment of Mrs. Fasina, noting that her emergence as the state’s Head of Service is a testament to her years of dedicated service, professionalism, competence and commitment to the growth of the Oyo State Civil Service.

Rt. Hon. Ogundoyin said Mrs. Fasina’s appointment did not come as a surprise considering her remarkable track record in public service, which has seen her rise steadily through the ranks since joining the Oyo State Civil Service in 2000.

According to the Speaker, Mrs. Fasina has distinguished herself as a diligent and result-oriented administrator, culminating in her appointment as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, one of the most strategic ministries in the state.

He also highlighted her attainment of the prestigious Member of the National Institute (mni) status and her recognition as a two-time recipient of the Oyo State Merit and Productivity Award as clear indications of her exceptional capacity, dedication and outstanding contributions to public service.

“Mrs. Adenike Ayobami Fasina’s appointment as the Head of Oyo State Civil and Public Service is well deserved. Her career trajectory reflects hard work, excellence, integrity and an unwavering commitment to service delivery.

“From joining the service in 2000 to becoming a Permanent Secretary, attaining mni status and winning the Oyo State Merit and Productivity Award on two occasions, she has consistently demonstrated the qualities of a dedicated and exceptional public servant.

“This appointment is a recognition of capacity, diligence and commitment. It is also a testament to the confidence reposed in her ability to lead the civil service and contribute meaningfully to the continued progress of Oyo State,” the Speaker said.

Rt. Hon. Ogundoyin noted that Mrs. Fasina’s appointment has brought immense joy to the people of Eruwa in Ibarapa East Local Government Area, who are proud to see one of their daughters attain such a prestigious position in the state’s public service.

He added that the appointment serves as an inspiration to younger generations, especially those aspiring to build successful careers in public administration and governance.

The Speaker further commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his continued commitment to rewarding merit, competence and excellence in public service appointments, describing the elevation of Mrs. Fasina as another positive step towards strengthening the state’s civil service architecture.

“On behalf of the Oyo State House of Assembly, the people of Ibarapa East State Constituency and the good people of Eruwa, I heartily congratulate Mrs. Adenike Ayobami Fasina on this well-earned appointment.

“We celebrate this giant stride under the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde and pray that God grants her wisdom, strength, good health and the grace to succeed in her new assignment. We are confident that she will bring her wealth of experience and professionalism to bear in moving the Oyo State Civil and Public Service to greater heights.

“Eruwa is proud of her achievement, and we look forward to her successful tenure as Head of Service,” Ogundoyin stated.
