The Forum of Local Government Chairmen in Oyo State has congratulated the governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Chief Bimbo Adekanmbi, following his official presentation to leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and APM in Ibadan.
The chairmen, under the leadership of Hon. Sikiru Sanda, described Adekanmbi as a competent and experienced politician with the capacity to sustain and advance the Omituntun 3.0 agenda in Oyo State.
Adekanmbi was formally presented to parties leaders and supporters at the end of APM governorship Primary held at the Watershed Event Centre, Ibadan, on Thursday.

Speaking on behalf of the forum, the spokesperson of the chairmen, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, said Governor Seyi Makinde made the right decision through the consensus arrangement that produced Adekanmbi as the party’s governorship candidate.

Akintayo noted that Adekanmbi possesses the leadership qualities and administrative experience needed to continue the developmental strides of the current administration after the completion of Governor Makinde’s eight-year tenure.

“With Adekanmbi as the governorship candidate, Oyo State is in safe hands after the successful administration of Governor Seyi Makinde,” he stated.
The forum also congratulated the party’s three senatorial candidates, 14 House of Representatives candidates, and 32 House of Assembly candidates who emerged through the party’s selection process.
They urged residents and indigenes of Oyo State to remain steadfast in their support for Governor Makinde and his administration, stressing that the ongoing development and progress in the state would not only be sustained but further improved if Adekanmbi emerges victorious at the polls.
They also called on voters across the state to support all candidates of the APM during the 2027 elections.
The forum further pledged total support for the governorship candidate, Bimbo Adekanmbi and other APM candidates across their respective local government areas, assuring the party leadership of their commitment to mobilising grassroots support ahead of the elections.
