The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Oyo Federal Constituency, Hon. Afolabi Idris Olanrewaju, popularly known as Aloma, has congratulated Barrister Gbolarumi Azeem on his emergence as the party’s governorship candidate ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Barrister Gbolarumi Azeem emerged victorious through the party’s direct primary election conducted on Sunday, securing the mandate of party members across the state.
In a congratulatory message made available to journalists, Aloma described Azeem’s emergence as a reflection of the confidence and trust reposed in him by party faithful, noting that the outcome of the primary process demonstrated the strength of internal democracy within the PDP.
The Oyo Federal Constituency PDP candidate, who is seeking to represent the people of Atiba, Afijio, Oyo East, and Oyo West Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, commended party members for their peaceful conduct during the exercise and for standing firmly behind the ideals of the party.
According to him, Barrister Azeem possesses the experience, leadership qualities, and political capacity required to lead the state toward greater development and inclusive governance.
Aloma further urged party stakeholders, supporters, and residents of the state to rally behind the governorship candidate to ensure the PDP’s victory in the 2027 gubernatorial election.
