As Nigeria joins the rest of the world to mark International Workers’ Day on Friday, the Executive Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Hon. Kamorudeen Mudashiru, has extended warm greetings and profound appreciation to generations of Nigerian workers and their families.

In a goodwill message to mark the occasion, Hon. Kamorudeen praised the dedication and resilience of workers who continue to drive the nation’s progress at all levels.

“On this International Workers’ Day, we celebrate the generations of Nigerian workers and their families who keep our country, our great state and our dear local government going – and the unions who fight for the rights and opportunities they deserve. We owe them our gratitude and support,” the Chairman stated.

The Chairman also eulogised the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for consistently prioritising workers’ welfare in the state. He commended the governor’s ongoing commitment to policies that enhance the well-being of the workforce, describing it as a shining example of responsive and people-focused governance.

Hon. Kamorudeen’s message underscores the pivotal role played by workers; from civil servants and artisans to professionals across various sectors in sustaining the economy and ensuring the smooth functioning of governance at the federal, state, and local levels.
