Barr. Akeem Adedeji Agbaje, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and 2027 gubernatorial aspirant in Oyo State, has congratulated Chief Joseph Tegbe on his nomination as Minister of Power by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.‎‎

In a statement, Barr Akeem Agbaje described Chief Joseph Tegbe as a seasoned professional whose extensive experience in fiscal policy, economic reform, and institutional development has positioned him for national service at a critical time.‎‎

He noted that Chief Tegbe’s over three decades of experience across both public and private sectors, including his role as Senior Partner and Head of Advisory Services at KPMG Africa, reflects a depth of knowledge in governance, policy formulation, and strategic transformation.‎‎

Akeem Agbaje also acknowledged Tegbe’s current role as Director General and Global Liaison for the Nigeria-China Strategic Partnership, where he has been involved in coordinating bilateral development initiatives, as well as his leadership as Chairman of the National Tax Policy Implementation Committee.‎‎

“Chief Joseph Tegbe’s nomination is a recognition of competence and experience. His background in economic reform and governance speaks to his capacity to contribute meaningfully in the power sector.”‎‎

He expressed optimism that Chief Tegbe’s expertise would support ongoing efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s power infrastructure and improve service delivery for citizens.‎‎

“I pray that Almighty God grants you wisdom, strength, and clarity of purpose as you take on this responsibility, and that your tenure will be marked by progress and impactful service to the nation.”‎
